Two big-picture questions that I want to raise in Legal Education Matters are whether the Council’s “approver” role should continue to be located in the American Bar Association (ABA); and whether the Council should continue its status as a U.S.

The even more impactful question that naturally follows is what should the (formerly) regional accrediting entities - who provide alternative avenues to law schools for federal funding but do not have such an alternative themselves - do in the face of the same directives from the government.
Steve, Hello and agreed. It’s going to be very messy for a while; another reason for the Council to resign its authority. All of my colleagues involved in the regional accreditation process are in my thoughts and have my sympathies.
